This is one of my favorite plants. This is aloe leaf, for those of you that aren’t familiar with it. These aloe grow really huge. They grow in the desert. Inside is this very cool gel. and we’re going to apply this gel directly to our face for a beauty mask.

And it’s great for sunburn. If you get sunburn you’re gonna put aloe on it right away. You will not burn or peel. the next day. Its great for psoriasis, eczema, herpes, cold sores, bug bites. If you get those big hot mosquito bites. This cost 1 dollar at the market. It was actually bigger. It was like this big.

We can also take this aloe gel internally and it’s going to cool internally So it’s great for ulcers, arthritis, colitis hemorrhoids.

If you have a lot of PMS or menstrual concerns. Or if you have hot flashes, menopausal or periomenopausal concerns, this can balance out your period, alleviate a lot of the inflammation and swelling symptoms thate with the period.

I’m going to show you now how we’re going to use it in those two ways. And it’s safe to use EVERY DAY. Just going to cut this aloe here. And it’s really quite beautiful. Your hands are clean. Just take this Oh gee, it feels just like the stuff that’s in the container in the junky plastic bottle with all the other parabens and junk in it. So I’m just digging my fingers in and putting this everywhere because it’s safe enough to eat, so it’s safe enough to go on the skin. It really feels cooling and benign like our cucumber mask which you can watch by clicking here You can watch my wonderful avocado mask by clicking here. Let’s say you have psoriasis or eczema or sunburn or a cold sore you can carry this or a burn I once had a burn from a curling iron and I carried my aloe vera around all day long with a little baggie and every hour I pulled it out and I swiped it on my curling iron burn.

And as you can see, I have no scar from that whatsoever. How to ingest aloe. So we’re just going to cut this off here. Be very careful cutting htis as it is very slippery. Now If your hard core, I want to hear about it you can just do this There! Michael, my camera man is making a face. If you’re not hardcore, thats OK.

We’re gonna put about n inch cube in the blender filtered water. Aaah this might be more hardcore. You can put this in a smoothie, you can put it in a green juice, Less hardcore. I’m going to save this for Michael! Aloe 2 Ways.

Drink it or Put it on your face, you burns, your eczema, psoriasis, dandruff, athletes foot jock itch! You know how I feel about jock itch. I ban all jock itch from the pl.

All about Psoriatic Arthritis

All about Psoriatic Arthritis What is Psoriatic Arthritis Psoriatic Arthritis is a systematic rheumatic and chronic disease that is characterized by skin inflammation which is a characteristic of psoriasis and swollen joints which is a characteristic of arthritis.

People who have psoriatic arthritis actually have red and inflamed skin often with scaling. Those who suffer from psoriasis are also those who are most likely to be affected by psoriatic arthritis. There are instances when joint problems first occur before skin lesions appear.

What Causes Psoriatic Arthritis When the immune system of our body starts attacking the healthy cells and tissues, Psoriatic Arthritis happens. This atypical reaction of the immune system causes swelling in joints and overproduction of skin cells.

There is still not a clear explanation as to why the immune system attacks healthy tissue but it is said that genes and other factors could attribute to the development of the disease. People who have a family history of arthritis or psoriasis are most likely to develop psoriatic arthritis. On the other hand, environmental factors such as trauma or viral or bacterial infection may also cause psoriatic arthritis to those who may inherit it.

Is there any treatment for Psoriatic Arthritis As of the moment, health experts say that the only cure for psoriatic arthritis is to keep a healthy weight. Performing warm water therapy may help in lessening the joint stiffness while placing ice on the swollen joint may also alleviate it.

Treating Skin Conditions Acne Skin Treatments

Hi. My name is Mary Thinnes and I’m a skin care expert. The next topic I’m going to discuss is how to affectively treat acne as the condition in the skin. As I mentioned before, with acneic, oily skin it is very important that you use proper cleansers and all the home care. I’m not going to go over how to cleanse the skin and all that again. But, obviously, you have to be careful with acneic skin since it is sensitive, and you’re trying to balance out the water in the skin and keep that proper. At the same time you want to deplete the skin of some of the oils because it has an overabundance of oil in the skin. So, with that being said, acneic skin, especially products that I would rmend for home care to treat that is something that definitely has a salicylic acid. Before I mentioned that salicylic acid should be in a cleanser. Also there are home care products that have salicylic acid in it and those are leave on treatments at home. So after you’ve cleansed, toned your face you can actually put on a salicylic, blot it on the spots that you have the acne breakout. Leave it for thirty seconds to a minute and put on your moisturizer, and that will actually help to clear up those blemishes. And then also with acneic skin, you can have that post inflammatory hyperpigmentation I mentioned before. And that’s the red that’s left there after the acne is cleared. That can be treated with your lightening gels thereafter. But in order to treat the acne and prevent it from getting any worse, you want to use the proper home care treatments. Glycolic home care treatments also these are at home leave on treatments as well. And basically it’s used the same way that your salicylic would be used, and it’s just left on the skin.

DermTV Very Itchy Fingers, a.k.a. Dishydrosis DermTV Epi ‘6

Hello, I’m Dr. Neal Schultz pause And wee to DermTV. This may be the season for itchy skin, but chances are if it’s your fingers that are itching, it’s not because they’re dry.

Most of the time, itchy fingers are caused by a condition called Dishydrosis and the itch it causes can really drive you crazy. And it’s not just itching that Dishydrosis causes You actually get little bumps on the bottom and sides of your fingers. And the bumps are actually tiny blisters.

Dishydrosis literally means, bad sweating, and it used to be thought that these crazily itchy bumps were filled with sweat. That’s why it was named Dishydrosis. But the fluid isn’t sweat it’s actually serum, which is the clear fluid in your blood.

The mostmon cause of Dishydrosis is extreme stress, although not every outbreak can be linked directly to a stressful situation. On a personal note, I can tell you that I’ve only experienced Dishydrosis once in my life. It was early in my medical training after a very stressful night of being up all night taking care of a lot of very sick patients.

The next morning the hospital dermatologist was making rounds and I showed him my hands, and he said, Boy you must have had a really rough night. So. The itching and bumps both finally go away after a few days. As it gets better, there are these really interesting telltale little collars of dead flaky skin that peel off.

Those tiny matchhead size collars of dead skin get larger. and then smaller. over a few days and are caused by the bubble of serum as it rises through the higher levels of the epidermis. It’s like taking horizontal slices through a sphere starting tiny at the bottom, then getting larger, and finally smaller again.

To treat the itching and bumps, topical cortisone creams and antiitch lotions with menthol are best. If that doesn’t stop the itch, cold water can usually give temporary relief, but never try to stop the itching with hot water. Even though hot water feels good and stops the itch, it also causes the itch toe back worse a few minutes later.
